I’m Gary Moyers. I’ve spent most of my adult life helping people sing, worship, lead, and work together. Today, I’m sharing what that journey has taught me with worship leaders, teams, and churches.
My years with Acappella took me around the world for more than 1,500 concerts. Singing, arranging, recording, and working with other musicians became a significant part of my life—and a chapter of my story I’m grateful for.
But the story also includes local church worship ministry, production rooms, sound booths, classrooms, rehearsals, and a lot of Sunday mornings. It includes helping people prepare, working through problems, and learning how to lead a team.
My current ministry includes leading worship at Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock and helping lead OneCity Worship. Through OneCity, I work with people from different churches and worship traditions who come together around worship.
Teaching and mentoring worship leaders, including through Worship Leader Institute, are part of that same thread: helping people develop what they can bring to their own congregations.
A cappella worship has been a substantial part of my life. I enjoy helping leaders and teams listen, blend, introduce songs, and help their congregations participate in worship together.
